nbat Squash Heroes Become Olympic Hopefuls

Since the inception of the nbat squash league, members of nbat digital have become regular faces down at the local courts and their reputation is now spreading further afield from the epicentre in Ashford outward across the South East to Folkestone, Canterbury, Whitstable, Eastbourne and up as far as Dorking where they have played (and returned victorious) in some highly competitive matches. After returning from a series of incredibly successful tours of the west coast of the United States and southern Europe the hype has now spread on an international level.

After an injury plagued July Emma Davis has taken a break from the August fixtures but has returned to light training and is planning a grand resurgence early September. Elsewhere, there were some movers and shakers in the local leagues with some impressive scoring from both Alex Payne and Neil Thornburn against players with around 20 years more experience.

The success and improvement of the key players over these last few months has seen a rise in the need for a greater challenge. The nbat digital players (or as they have been referred to 'a collection of pure athletes') have taken the decision to start to compete at county level.

The decision by the IOC to remove squash as a new sport in the 2012 Olympics in London has hit the team hard, however with the news that this should be rectified by 2016 each and every Athlete involved at nbat are focusing their ultimate dream in qualifying for these games.

As the targets and hopes of the team rise inline with their skill levels the need for the use of better training facilities and superior equipment has arisen and they are now seeking sponsorship from local and national businesses. Any enquiries regarding this can be sent to sales@nbat.co.uk
