Jack Dent

A north-easterner in self imposed exile, Jack lives on a hill above the ancient city of Canterbury. Following many years as a freelance graphic designer Jack joined nbat as a Director in 2002 with the brief to develop its web and multimedia services.

Jack is proud to be heading up a highly skilled team with a continually growing portfolio of delighted clients. Jack manages key client relationships for nbat and has extensive experience of working with senior marketing and IT professionals. However, he is still keen to occasionally roll up his sleeves to spend a day typesetting on a Mac.

Jack collects old vinyl LPs and lists his interests as cycling, photography and music.

Emma Davis

Emma graduated from The University of Birmingham with a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry. After working for a year as a web editor, Emma returned to Birmingham and completed a Masters in Computer Sciences.

Joining nbat in 2003, Emma quickly integrated herself within the company and now as our Lead Developer is a point of contact for many clients on a day-to-day basis, allowing her to form excellent working relationships with them. Emma plays a pivotal part in the planning and execution of all large projects within the nbat client portfolio.

Alex Payne

Alex is nbat's self-taught technical all rounder. After college, Alex worked in various IT based fields including as a software programmer and IT Support and EPOS Engineer Specialist. Through this time Alex taught himself PHP/MySQL, Javascript, VBScript (ASP), CSS and MSSQL all to a professional level.

Within this fast paced and ever changing industry, research and development is key. Alex has a keen interest in researching new languages, software, applications and techniques.

Alex can then utilise his ability to learn them, adapt and apply them to add value to nbat's core business, one of the main reasons he has become an indispensable member of the team. Alex lists his hobbies as ping pong, paintballing and snowboarding.

Joe Green

Joe is our Lead Designer. He earned a BSc (Hons) Multimedia Technology and Design and an MSc Computer Animation, both from the University of Kent in Canterbury. After a couple of years in the industry, developing websites, Flash content, and advertising materials, he joined nbat where he now keeps creative control over the various ongoing projects, as well as developing designs for new clients and producing Flash content for a variety of projects. His skillset includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript and XML. He has a lot of experience using the complete Adobe Suite and also various animation packages including Maya and 3ds Max.

Joe's interests mainly revolve around music. He is the guitarist in Black Sun Down, a rock band from Canterbury. He likes to collect musical instruments (particularly guitars) and also has a keen interest in cars.

Christopher Holland

Chris is nbat's self taught Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) guru. After leaving college, Chris started to learn HTML and CSS and then two years ago found his passion for SEO.

After researching the many different techniques within the SEO industry, and building up a reputable portfolio, he joined nbat in 2009. Chris now manages many successful SEO campaigns and looks forward to expanding his skill set.

Chris watches films, listens to music and occasionally attends a live Jimmy Carr concert.
