Jack Dent
A north-easterner in exile, Jack lives half a meter above sea level on the edge of Romney Marsh. After many years as a freelance
graphic designer he joined nbat as a Director in 2002 with the brief to develop its web and multimedia services.
Jack is proud to now be heading up a highly skilled team and a rapidly growing portfolio of delighted clients. Jack manages key
client relationships for nbat and has extensive experience of working with senior marketing and IT professionals. He is also
still keen to occasionally roll his sleeves up and spend a day typesetting on a spare Mac.
Jack's interests are cycling - both on and off-road, photography and music.
Emma Davis
Emma graduated from The University of Birmingham with a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry. After working for a year as a web editor,
Emma returned to Birmingham and completed a Masters in Computer Sciences.
Joining nbat in 2003, Emma quickly integrated herself within the company and now as our Lead Developer is a point of contact for
many clients on a day-to-day basis, allowing her to form excellent working relationships with them. Emma plays a pivotal part in
the planning and execution of all large projects within the nbat client portfolio.
Neil Thornburn
Neil graduated from university in 1999 with a degree in Applied Psychology and Computing, specialising in human computer interaction
and interface design. After graduation Neil joined a growing (soon to be award winning) new media agency as a technical designer.
After a few years Neil progressed to Project Manager then to Sales Manager with one of his projects being nominated for a BAFTA
Award in 2003.
Neil joined the nbat digital team in 2007 bringing with him experience of working on all manner of online projects and solutions
with Universal Pictures, Disney, Nintendo, NHS Direct, Halifax Bank PLC and BT Openworld.
Alex Payne
Alex is nbat's self-taught technical all rounder. After college, Alex worked in various IT based fields including as a software
programmer and IT Support and EPOS Engineer Specialist. Through this time Alex taught himself PHP/MySQL, Javascript, VBScript (ASP),
CSS and MSSQL all to a professional level.
Within this fast paced and ever changing industry, research and development is key. Alex has a keen interest in researching new
languages, software, applications and techniques.
Alex can then utilise his ability to learn them, adapt and apply them to add value to nbat's core business, one of the main reasons
he has become an indispensable member of the team. Alex lists his hobbies as ping pong, paintballing and snowboarding.
Graeme Blackwood
Graeme is our Creative Developer, graduated in 2006 from the University for the Creative Arts in Surrey with a BA(Hons)
in Graphic Design: New Media. Graeme started his career at a computer games development company, he has since moved to
nbat where his work exists in the crossover between design and development, covering graphic design, 3D, video and animation
/ flash development. Graeme's skill set also includes coding and development of all nbat sites.
Graeme is the drummer in the band Motion Picture Soundtrack and he lists his main hobbies as music, design and keeping fit.
